Here are some pictures of Jake and E being the studs they are. Easton is on the Rockies and Jake is on the Cardinals. Ali is playing fox city league softball and her team is 2nd in state! They have been playing really well! More photo's to come!
Finally I figured out how to make a cute background! Still trying to get the whole family together for pictures but, it will happen! If the weather wasn't so spastic and I could be a photographer yet also in the picture then it would already be done. Furthermore, watch for more. :)The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-31623103274534951282010-01-12T14:52:00.000-08:002010-01-12T14:57:56.179-08:00pathetic..HELLO WORLD! Yes yes I know that our little blog project has been some what patheitic but hey, life is hectic. And our life's our nothing out of the ordinary so there isn't much to blog about. Sad, sad, sad I know. Buuut, I did start college last wednesday. I'm definatly liking the boy scene. Not liking that they don't talk to me but, all in good time. Well I just wanted all of you followers out there to know that I am thinking of you and that I may be back here soon. :] see you folks lata. The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-39615916789711759182009-08-17T11:48:00.000-07:002009-08-17T12:01:10.133-07:00wow how time has flown..I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone. Maybe it is because I haven't been counting down tthe days till school starts because school isn't really starting for me.. ha. But it is so crazy to think that I'm not going back to high school ever again. I think I am really going to miss it. But life must go on. I am really excited to be taking some institute classes this fall! I hope that it will help my knowledge of the gospel grow and also help me find people to date. How sad, but how true. Ali is going to be in the 9th grade. Which means next year she will be in high school. Which is crazy. She still hasn't decided whether she wants to go to MMHS or to SHS. But dad wants her to go to springvill on account that it is a 3 minutes from our house rather than 3 miles. But our parents are letting her choose. And she thinks she is leaning more toward springville which is nice. I would much rather be a devil than an eagle. But that's just me. :] Jake, E, and Dill are all going to be in the same school this year! Even though dylan is persistant that he is not going to kindergarten and that is final. But he can't say no to any Lightning McQueen toys. Which are heavily being used to bribe him. Mom is still working full time. She is now a part of the lactation program for IHC. Which has been a nice change for her. But all is well at our home. Except that we came home yesterday to an 80 degree fridgerator. Which didn't make my mother very happy.

Wishing you all the best,
Ashley Lancaster. It is still mind blowing to think that I am out of high school forever! It is even more mind blowing as I am going over to UVU to set up classes. Oh well. Life goes on. Which is a really scary thought.

It started out at 4 pm that thursday day. I was trying to find a ride over to UVU because my dad's car was in the shop and my mom just couldn't take me i guess. ha. so i called up my good friend taylor davis and we started to head over. right as we passed julie and will's house taylors mother, sylvia, yells, "WE FORGOT THE LEI" i really don't know how to spell that. how embarassing. but needless to say i had also forgot my "flower necklace" which my grandma strong so lovingly bought me, so we ran back home to get those. We, the seniors, were supposed to be there at 5, unfortunatly we got there at 5:30. Rushing into the school, we got settled into our places. mine was inbetween kroneburger and larsen. it was hilarious because we all looked like we were at hogwarts. us in our "robes" and as our teachers walked by they also looked as though they had escaped from hogwarts as well. the music started playing and we all walked in. the correct way. because the day before was graduation practice and my row, row 4, went through row 5's row. which made mrs. leek verrry unhappy. haha another funny story. at graduation practice we practiced where we would return to after we had recieved our deploma covers. so im just walking back to my place and some of the seats just flip up automatically and some stay down. well mine filpped up, right as i was sitting down. so i let out a little yelp and everyones eyes are on me as i am now grabing onto the kid's arm who sat in front of me trying not to fall completely on my butt. but, of course i fell. but anyways back to graduation, they told us that a picture would be taken of us so that when they said your name people would know who you were. this was the part i was most scared of. they said, "wait one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand, then walk." how was i supposed to know if the picture had been taken or if my eyes were closed or not? but it was all good. then we went and sat and watched our peers get there pictures taken and laughing at the funny ones and cheering for our friends. then when the time came to switch the tassels, us as students had a plan. the administration told us that if we threw our caps that we would be immideatly esquorted from the building. buuuuut, we had just graduated from springville high school and that ment we were no longer under their control so right as they told us to flip the tassels we all threw our caps into the air and let out screams. it really was so fun. and i am sorry of all the uncapitalized "i"'s in this paragraph. :]

julie has pictures from it. so julie i am asking if you will please post them or send them to me so that i may. :]]] thank ya thank ya.

love,

Ashley, your graduated friend. The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-24625785928727408962009-05-23T18:04:00.000-07:002009-05-23T18:14:02.376-07:00gradulation.Can you actually believe that I am graduating from High School and moving on to bigger and better things? Because I can't. I'm still like I should be in 9th grade because it feels like yesterday I was walking out to the armory at the junior high to go to Mr. Robins geography class. I CANNOT believe it is already February 11th. 3rd term is half way over and that means I only have a term and a half till I graduate. Can I tell you how freaking scared I am!! I can't handle the pressure of choosing what I want to do with my life. I am only freaking 17 years old! 17 year olds shouldn't be making life changing choices. Our brains are not physically able to bear the stress. Well mine isn't at least. But it has been a pretty good senior year. Besides the fact that I haven't been to one formal boys ask dance. So lame. I am like, "Why do the juniors get asked to the dance when I am a freaking senior! I have priority!" Right?

Well the family is doing fine. Since that is really what this blog is supposed to be about. Haha. Dad is working alot at SIREN. Im not exactly sure what it is. but it has to do with going to arizona with Scott Mitchel. Which is semi awkward considering the fact that every boy I have ever liked was on his team. ha. Mom is working a ton too. She usually comes home and crashes in her room. We can usually hear her laughing at the tv. Which is a good sign. I am currently in the process of teaching along with 8 other girls 30 senior boys 30 seconds of Dance, Kickline, Military, and Hip-Hop. Which will be performed on February 13 at half time. I would encourage all to come. :]] but 30 senior boys are alot to handle. They have the attention span of about 3 seconds. But its all good. I already spilled alot about my drama of graduation. So moving on, Allison is never home. I never really see her. But my clothes are still disapearing so I am guessing she is still living. ha. Jacob is a sheep and I am a goat, according to the mongolian grill's chinese thing. Which says that we basically should stay away from each other. We butt heads so much so it would just do us both good to not speak to one another. Easton is Easton. Just the 5 year old oh wait, he's 9. hmm.. Dylan has become alot nicer these past months. If I ask for a hug he will usually give one to me. He is just the cutest little kid. He got his valentines today and was so excited he ate all of the candy that was supposed to go on them. haha okay not all the candy.

Wow, just remembered something really important. I got my patriarchal blessing from my grandpa on sunday! It was so amazing! I still can't believe some of the things that were said in it. ahhh it just blows my mind that we can have this wonderful blessing in our lifes. ahhhhhh. I want to talk about it so bad but then I remember, ashley this is something you aren't really supposed to talk about. But it is just so awesome that I want to tell everyone!! haha. It was really really great. And Im so happy that my grandpa was the one to give it to me. I was his very first blessing! :]] I feel so honored. :]]]

Well I hope that updates you on some of the stuff that has been going on in our lifes.

Hopefully next time I will update you sooner rather than later. :]]]The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-33216465809274031302008-11-10T16:52:00.000-08:002008-11-10T16:54:08.692-08:00CHRISTMAS MUSIC.Although I have already been listening to Christmas music since August, the world is finally ready for it. Isn't it great!? I love fall fashion especially. But I was looking up on the mountain yesterday and there is snow on Timp. SNOW!!! Too crazy. Well I was reading julie's blog and it said something about sally jean. Eventually I found her blog. Here is just a taste of her, she is hilarious. Some may not apply to us, aka number 18. But it gives you a good idea of new things to do and try:

1. Free shipping in September at Sally Jean! Yay! Celebrate September by treating yourself to a pretty little trinket...and pay no shipping! That's a few extra dollars for gas (boo) or ice cream (yay)!!
2. Go back-to-school shopping at Goodwill. You will find some great name-brands in hardly-worn clothes for your kids. This may only work until they are 12 (8 for a girl)...but the savings is great (they're going to grow out of them momentarily anyway).
3. Photograph September. Are the leaves falling? The school buses passing by? The house semi-empty? Take pictures to remember it by.
4. Wear a scarf on your head. Yes...this is best done in a convertible with a vintage scarf! But it is still fun at the grocery store (sans curlers). Tie it under your neck for a Perry Mason flashback...or by the back of your neck for an eastern European look.
5. Become a recycling fiend. Organize the cans, plastic bottles, magazines. Be sure that new purchases are "green". Visit your neighbor and organize their recycling, too!
6. Instead of an art car...have an "Art Bicycle"! Find a vintage bike and paint it your favorite color(s). Glue 3-dimensional treasures on the fenders. Hang hand-made streamers from the handle-bars. Add a huge basket on the front...maybe a pair of side baskets on the back. Don't forget the ringy-bell! Ride it proudly.
7. Concoct your own concoction (aka: create your own drink). Try different mixers (choose by color). Use your favorite liquor. Make sure to add a sugared rim (and a stick filled with fruit). Make enough for two and share it with your best friend. Giggle.
8. Make a mini-quilt for your cat...why shouldn't he have a pretty place to lay? Besides...it's a much more manageable undertaking than a bed-sized quilt!
9. Read a children's book to yourself. You can do this at home, curled up in your jammies on the sofa. Or visit your local library where the books are plentiful. You never know...you may end up reading to an audience of 4-year-olds who are too young to go to school.
10. Use Mason Jars as your drinking glasses at home. Donate your old glasses to Goodwill. DO NOT GO BUY THEM BACK!
11. Watch a movie you haven't seen in forever. Blue Lagoon. Jaws. 9-1/2 Weeks. Star Wars (NOT!).
12. Take your children to the park after school. Swing on the swings with them. Slide down the slide (don't get stuck). Weren't slides more slippery when we were younger?
13. Indulge in a new cell phone ring tone. Have a different ring tone for each of your favorite callers. We were able to choose all U2 songs which match the personalities of our children (even Enzo - age 5 - but it is for his baby sitter's phone).
14. Get a new apron. Anthropologie always has a wonderful selection - irresistible! DON'T save it for a special occasion. Wear it. Make a mess in it. Wipe paint or cherry pie filling on it. Wash it and wear it again!
15. Document your neighborhood. Re-purpose an old game-board by painting it and drawing your neighborhood street plan. Take photos of everyones house and collage them onto the game board. Make sure to add landmarks such as swimming pools, overgrown hedges which desperately need trimming, the house you wish you had. Frame it. Or make a game out of it and invite the neighbors over to play!
16. Get yourself an over-the-top pair of fancy reading glasses. Go for color. Rhinestones. Funky shapes! Wear them at the local coffee shop when you read the newspaper. Wink at those who look!
17. Put single flowers in old bottles. Grab a few stems at your grocery store or local flower shop to help you ease the transition between summer and fall.
18. Go out with your girlfriend for a wine-tasting night! Often, local restaurants or gourmet stores offer wine-tasting. Make a night of it. Come home with a bottle of your favorite.
19. It's time to blog. Visit www.typepad.com and sign up. Make-up a fun name! Load up the graphics. And write about your life and what you love. Don't forget the photos!
20. Take your fall clothes to the dry cleaner and freshen them up. They even do laundry by the pound and it will come back already folded! Think of the time you'll save.
21. Buy a book on Amazon">Amazon. "Browse" the selections. Take a chance on a new release. And when it arrives at your door it is like a little gift to yourself!
22. Host an Indian Summer BBQ and invite the whole neighborhood. Pretend it is July and include hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, potato salad! But then it's September...so squash and pumpkin pie! Be sure to have a little fire-pit or everyone will crowd around the grill to stay warm.
23. See a matinee. Go by yourself (the kids are back in school...aren't they?). Be sure to get popcorn and soda. Raisinettes to off-set the butter/salt. Cry all you want if it's a tear jerker (or if it's not). Review it online.
24. Pretend you are a restaurant. Cover the dining room table with butcher paper and have little cups of crayons. Call the family to the table early to draw before dinner. You can even write the menu for them to review (or draw pictures of chicken marsala!).
25. Visit an elderly friend. Bring a bag of groceries as a surprise. Don't forget a little something for the dog or cat. Stay a while and chat. Promise to come back soon...and do.
26. Treat yourself to a shampoo. Yes...that's all. Go to the hairdresser and just get your hair washed (sometimes they give a little scalp massage). Have them blow it out. No cut. No color. Doesn't just the shampoo feel good?
27. Build a model. It might seem like a guy-thing...but after the thousand pieces are all glued together you can paint it any color you like...and collage it, too!
28. Make yourself some earrings. Get a little bit of sterling silver wire...some earring hooks...some beads or other found object. Wire it all together in an artful (or not so artful) way and wear them out on the town!
29. Paint a room. Start fall off on the right track by changing the color of one of your rooms. Maybe it's a little one like the laundry room. Or a big one like your living room. Or just one wall! The fresh new color will inspire you to rearrange your furniture (which you like to do!) and will brighten up the shorter days (even if you painted gray).
30. Try out a new recipe that falls in the Fancy French Cooking category. It MUST have an ingredient you have never used (and quite possibly never heard of). The rule: everyone must eat it! Enjoy! The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-80742860075243570572008-08-09T09:18:00.000-07:002008-08-09T16:33:05.376-07:00Wyoming 2008

The last week in July Dad and the kids went up to Star Valley, Wyoming. It is sooo beautiful there. No smog, no loud free ways, just fields of grass and beautiful mountians. Grandma and Grandpa Lancaster are getting older but are still fun to visit with the pool table in the basement and four wheelers to ride, it never gets old. Dad went on a four wheeler ride up to the top of the mountian. Probably 10k feet. There was still snow on the tops in July!!

The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-43860723527235154682008-07-12T21:29:00.000-07:002008-07-12T21:40:29.094-07:00lancaster boys in the civil war.

Jacob and Easton took a fun trip up to camp floyd to reinact the civil war. What a change! I am making so many new friends and getting in shape at the same time. We have been practicing for the Art City days parade and it is hard work. I can't seem to get all the arm motions with the correct feet while smiling and looking above the persons head infront of me. We did all go out to breakfast tuesday in honor of learning the whole "dance" if that is what you would call it. I am so excited to start performing! More to come on drill. So be ready. fredy. The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-48785298443260371992008-05-25T15:56:00.000-07:002008-05-25T15:57:24.632-07:00in case you didn't know..me and some of my friends made a video and put it on youtube. you should definatly check it out. see side bar. wont last long. The Lancaster'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13885590205691472209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347596241641405994.post-5952286853973174062008-05-25T15:29:00.000-07:002008-05-25T15:30:49.351-07:00trying to figure this out..Sorry about the hold up on all of this.
